Rudolf Diesel's first German patent, #67207, was granted on February 23rd, 1893 for his "Working Method and Design for Combustion Engines.:  In 1898, he was granted S patent #608,845 for an "internal combustion engine," the Diesel engine.  The Diesel era had well and truly begun.

Held on the Lake Goldsmith Steam Preservation site, with 38 acres of steam, oil and diesel power, and exhibiting our mechanical heritage; the rally ground will be dramatically extended for this feature event displaying everything diesel.

DAILY PARADES OF MOBILE EXHIBITS

Exhibits include trucks, tractors, stationary engines, generating plants and much more.  In fact, if its diesel powered, chances are you will see it on display.

Regular Lake Goldsmith Rally exhibits and attractions will be operating as usual.

NOTE:  This is an additional, one off, event on the Lake Goldsmith calendar.
